Thank you so much to Dexter Baptist for approving the formation of a search committee to help us find a leader who is dedicated to our youth! This is so exciting for our church!
Current Status: The committee is being formed. They are reviewing and updating the old job listing, finding out a competitive salary, and posting the job on multiple platforms.
What you can do:
1. PRAY!
2. When we get an updated job listing, we will post it here. Please plan to read it and discuss any changes or edits you think are necessary with a committee member. (We will post it on here as soon as we can!)
3. Spread the word that we are hiring a part time youth pastor! Direct any interested parties to contact the youth committee at dexterbaptistyouth@gmail.com.
4. Plan to stay apprised of the progress of the search here and with committee members. If we have any meetings, plan to attend. (Note: There are no planned meetings presently.)
5. Take the survey at the bottom of this post. There are nine questions. Some of them are multiple choice, and some of them ask for typed answers. Anyone with an interest in giving input about this position (from current youth age and up) is encouraged to provide feedback here, as well as to the committee members.
6. Email the committee at dexterbaptistyouth@gmail.com with your comments and concerns that you believe will be helpful as they work on the job description and begin the search.
